Birthday's galore!

It's been one party after another around here.
We started off with Mr. Hayden and his 11th birthday.
What can I say...Hayden has been a fun kid to raise. He is full of jokes,
he is pretty easy going, tries to be nice to everyone,
has got some pretty sweet dance moves, is now a straight A student (so he qualifies to play tackle football this year - his mom's rules), and let's not forget about his dreamy eyes that look like shattered glass. He is easy to love and I so thankful for this kid.

Next we have Mr. Reecer Piecer. He just turned 7 and seems be growing
inches everyday. I can't believe how tall he is and how grown-up he has become.
He is definitely my little sidekick and loves to help mom. He is what I call "my best getter". I love how he is such a quick learner and super smarty pants. He loves to read, still loves to draw, he's definitely the creative genius of the family. He has taken on the roll of trying to be the best biggest brother ever to Crew. He can entertain him like NO other! Crew worships him and says his name all day long. I love this kid and his smile makes me smile.

No it's not Crew's bday yet but he is sure been obsessed with the balloons laying around.


ps I'm trying to resurrect this blog thing again. We'll see if it "takes" this time :)

Better late than never right???

Happy 2011!!!!

So where is my jet pack because I'm pretty sure I thought I would have one by now.

We rang in the New Year with some fun friends, fish tacos, games, and then a dance party in the USA!

Yes I do what I can to please my man!

Not sure what is going on here but Sarah is for sure the best question ask-er of the night. She can get anyone in the hot seat and get the goods out.

 I wanted to stick my face in the chocolate fountain. YUM!

This was part of my white elephant gift and it came with a "the magic of belly dance dvd," for some reason all the guys were fighting over it. I'm not sure why??

Juli was SO excited with her SPONGE BOB Snuggie. I would be excited too - we all know I LOVE my snuggie.....see here.

After we played some games we went out to Brian's new man cave and he had it all set up for us to have a DANCE PARTY USA (as I called it annoyingly all night)! He had strobe lights and a smoke machine to set the mood. We GROOVED in the New Year!

YMCA baby....can it get any better?

The dance floor got a little tore up by these two couples having a DANCE OFF.
I've never seen so many moves!

Brian went all out with his man cave - I think all of our husbands were begging for a key.
It sure made for a fun New Year's Eve Dance!

My mom is not going to like this but I think it's adorable. I love to see her shake her groove thing. Better yet, Kyle with his hip action and Crew dancing at their feet. We had fun with the kids Just Dance II game they got for their Wii. It's so fun and a good work out too! Riley kicked their bums when it came to points though. I'm so thankful for all the fun memories we made with my parents over Christmas vacation. We played lots of games, watched lots movies (True Grit was my favorite!), ate WAY too much food and Grandpa always has great ways to entertainment the kiddos.

Happy Halloween 2010

It's been a ROUGH and SPOOKY Halloween week.

Rough because Rile's and I have been down with the flu :( It was complete and utter torture for everyone involved. The sick-o's and the people that had to live with the sick-o's! I mean Halloween week is usually a very busy mom-week anyways so I barely made it through. No Halloween parade, not many pictures, Kyle carved pumpkins with the kids, no carmel apples, no cider or hot cocoa- I'm telling ya - BARE MINIMUM :)

But here goes our pictures and one thing still was the same - the kids looked DARN cute!

 

( oh BLOGGER WHY do you do this to me??? Does this happen to anyone else? All my pictures want to come in sideways - so I started uploading to photo-bucket first but it is still doing it. Drives me crazy!!) Maybe I should send THIS GUY over to BLOGGER so he can straighten out the situation!

PONY RIDES

I've always wanted to have pony rides for one of my kids birthday parties so that is what we did!

Big Bob and Old Joe couldn't wait to give the kiddos some rides. 

Can't you just see their excitement?

 The Tractor Ride
I loved the account of the tractor ride my cousin Cynthia put on her blog so I'm going to cut and paste it here. It made me laugh!!

In Cynthia's words:
"Everyone should have a party in Uncle Dale's backyard!
He brings out the horses for rides
and his backyard has
a trampoline
a swingset
and treehouse!

But one of the best things of all is the TRACTOR RIDE!

Let me try to describe the scene to you:

We are all sitting around, enjoying each other's company, eating good food, and the children are having a great time playing and riding horses.

Suddenly you hear a motor.

Everyone looks to see Uncle Dale driving the tractor which pulls the apple boxes through his orchard.

Then it's like a scence from the Pied Piper.

The kids all stop what they are doing.

They know exactly what to do.
They grab a lawn chair.
(It's hillarious, watching the littlest kids carry lawn chairs)

They hoist the chairs into the boxes,
climb in themselves
and wait for Uncle Dale to pull out of the "station" for a ride around the orchard:

I love the farm and I love the way that cousin Brian captured its beauty in these photos! thanks a bunch!

My dad is the best grandpa! He always knows how to make thing so fun for the kids and the adults enjoy it too! Someday I'll have to blog about the school bus rides we used to go on with him.
