It's game day...

and on game day....

this is how we roll around here!

I'm trying my best to be a supportive BYU football wife this year.
I actually stayed in the room for the majority of the game.
I did have my laptop on my lap and surfed cute house decorating sites
the whole time but wouldn't you say I still sacrificed? I looked up every time something good or bad happened :)
It's official!! Hayden is a CAVEMAN this year! His dreams finally came true and he
got to play tackle football this year. I have to say that it's not as bad as I thought it would be. He practiced the first few weeks 6 days a week for 2 hrs. If that doesn't chill/wear a kid out I don't know what would.
It's been so fun to go to his games! They didn't win their first game but on Saturday they won their second game. They played Pleasant Grove and PG was twice as big as them!

Reece is playing soccer right now too! He is loving it and is not afraid to get in there and kick the ball this year. He runs and plays hard! We are SO proud of this kid for trying so hard!

First day of school!

A couple weeks ago!!
But here are the pictures to prove I sent them away! HA HA!!
They are getting old enough now that going back to school is a big drag! They come home and tell me how BORING their day was and how they listened to the rules ALL DAY LONG!

On a good note Reece says he likes his teacher because she lets him sharpen his pencil as much as he wants! I guess last year his teacher would only let him sharpen one time.
I'm guessing he is a compulsive sharpener!

Crew was sad when they all left him because it's basically like watching the PARTY leave your house!
But never fear Brooklyn is here and he was in heaven getting to play with his cousin all day!

Island Park

Our trip to Island Park and Yellowstone.....all out of order and random.....enjoy :)

When we first starting planning our trip to Island Park we thought it would be fun to camp with the kids...you know rough-it a little. Well, we ended up just getting a big cabin that
would fit everyone in it. It was way better than camping! In fact I think it's my new way of camping.
The boys made this awesome fort out in the trees.
Great for pretend wars and such and even greater because it kept them busy for hours!

I told you this was random...this was my favorite mountain man we saw at Yellowstone.

Old Faithful was pretty exciting actually. I really wasn't sure what to expect but it was fun to see it blow. I dared Kyle to yell "THAR SHE BLOWS" really loud when it started to shoot up. Everyone laughed, it was totally something his dad would have done if he was there.

Looking cute while waiting for Old Faithful!

The boys favorite part of the whole trip was getting to go fishing with their dads. They caught a whopping 1 1/2 fish. Hayden almost had one but then it got away.

Crew and I saw a big MOOSE on our 4-wheeler ride. I am still to this day thankful for that Moose. Whenever he is wondering away I just have to say - "oh no, there's a moose" and he'll come running back to me...... sneaky - I know.

The boys all bought knives at a giftshop at Old Faithful. They widdled their little hearts out and made good luck charms. Only 1 finger was sliced so we were excited about that.

Crew LOVED Alexa! She was so cute with him and gave him tons of attention too.

The girls.
Get up you lazy Bison!

n

Lots of sword fights,

and yelling JENGA - JENGA.

I loved getting to spend time with Alexa. She is such a doll and has grown up so much.
She has the cutest little southern accent too.
I loved being able to tease Kade too. My boys especially had fun playing with their cousins they
don't get to see very often.

Just wish we could hang out with the Cunningham's more often.

YELLOWSTONE

The SUMMER has begun and we started it off with a trip to Yellowstone with Kyle's family.
I have loads of pics to upload but I'm needing to pack for the next venture tomorrow to
Vegas baby!
We are off to pick up Riley's bff Courtney for their annual 2 week extravaganza.
Some things we have been up to:

Riley's softball tournaments
Riley and Hailey's summer day camp for kids
Hayden has been getting babysitting training for McCrewber
I've been trying to lift lots of weights and hit the zumba class and trying to lay off the treats - the first two are working well but the treats part is not :)
picnics and lots of playtime at the park
getting to know some new fun neighbors
father and sons camp-out, which means moms night out dinner and pedi's
McCrewber talking up a storm which is good and bad
tons of yard work trying to make the place more low maintenance in the weeding department
got my garden planted and some herbs too
Reece is loving his job chart and excited to make some $$MULLA$$
we just signed up for a pool pass and will be hitting that lots in the months to come
an organized pantry - woot woooo!!!
**and last but not least getting ready for Riley's TREK this summer and my girls camp with the beehives!!

I have a feeling it's going to be one of the busiest summers on record!

TROLL ALERT!!

lil C: "They call me TROLL in the mornings.

I'm not sure why?"

TRUE LOVE I Tell ya!

What do you call someone who
sacrifices their morning to touch my gnarly feet?

A SAINT!!!

Seriously - they were gross!
I'm so lucky to have good friends to keep me looking not homeless!

holy buffness!

My friend Vicki - with the rock hard body- had a competition the other day.

It was my first Body Building Competition - (I'm sure your surprised)- that I had ever been to.
So Claire and I made the trek to see her in person.

I was AMAZED at the things they could make their bodies do!

She is so hard-core, so disciplined! Her only weakness used to be Diet Coke.
I loved that I could count on her to always have one in hand. She just gave it up - DANGIT!

So this last week I joined her weight-loss/weight lifting class. I'm hoping she can get me ship-shaped!
Last week I could hardly walk or sit to PEE, but this week it was lots easier.
Next week - I've been warned - will be hard! Pray for me!

Mary and Jamie - this is for you!
Merry Christmas!!

the end.

spring has sprung

Today we got to spend the day with cousin Jill and Brooklyn! I love that Crew has a little cousin to play with. The other day she came to play for the day and I loved hearing their little conversations with each other. They chased each other around all day, gave hugs and kisses, and played in the sand.
It's fun having a little girl around that doesn't want to shoot me all day.
I had to take a picture of them on the big rock so show off not only them but my beautiful tulips that my friend Andrea planted for me before she left. It has sure made spring a lot more colorful and happy! I think I'm addicted to tulips now and want to plant them all over for next year.
The frog pond is now open for business and the frogs are in full hopping mode!
Hayden got his new bike finally about a month ago. He has been dreaming of this bike for some time! He looks so studly riding it around trolling for friends :)
I'm so happy that good weather is finally here. When it's sunny outside I spend the whole day in the sun - working in the yard - or laying out reading and watching Crew play. He brings me his shoes every minutes saying "please, please"!
I love to look out across the street at these pretty tulips too. They were Andrea's and so I told her I would take a picture of them for her. I didn't want to get busted by the new neighbor photographing her yard so they aren't very close up. Andrea put her heart and time into this yard and it's so pretty.

All in all it's been a great spring. I think part of the reason is we didn't do as many spring sports this year. Riley is playing softball but that's it. It's nice not to have to be running kids to practice and games everyday. I'm sure ready for summer though. Bring on the hot weather, pool/splash park days, snowcones, camping...you name it! I'm excited!!

close enough

I came across this fabric that I've had for a couple years and wahla - framed it (in my DI find)!
Kind of has the same feel as the photo below.

LOVE

I'm loving this sign....could someone please be kind and paint one up for me?

By the way, I took your advice Heather and made a RANDOM ACT OF KINDNESS jar. It's already pretty full. Mostly from one child but it's been good for him to focus on positive behavior so I don't care!

Now if I could get this sign up it would be a great reminder to be sweet all the time!

xoxo
