randomness and goodness

Not much going on here this week. Just recovering from Birthday mania and getting ready for some company this weekend! I did however attend my first CAUCUS last night and it was kind of fun to see what they are and how it all works. It was packed too. People are pretty fired up right now. My very own friend Melissa is now a county delegate so that was exciting and I know she will do great!

the tucsico gang

After the whirlwind shopping bonanza, Trish threw a whirlwind jewelry party for me.I absolutely LOVED being able to see everyone, I just wished I would have had more time to visit.Next time we might have to make it a jewelry party and then lunch the next day or something so I can have more visiting time. When my friends started arriving I got a little emotional thinking about how much I missed those Tucson gals from the ward. I got to meet some of the newbies too and see who my replacements are. It was my home for so long it's hard to not considerate it "HOME" anymore.Someone told me it takes 3 years when you move to consider it "HOME". I don't think Tucson took me 3 years, maybe between one and two, but if this is true then I'm going on my third year in Utah and it's getting better here all the time.

I wish I would have gotten more pictures. I got a couple at the beginning, then realized after lots of people left I had forgotten to pull out the camera for more pictures and the ones that I did take are not so great. A little blurry, sorry!

Thanks Trish for planning the party and working so hard and letting me crash at your house. Tell Paul -again I think he's a champ, Reagan - I wished I could have played with her more, Brig - thanks for movie quotes, baby Morgan - thanks for the cuddling and tiding me over from not seeing Crew.

AZ trip 2010

I love my annual Arizona trip to the Tucson Gemshow/Visiting Marathon.

Here are some highlights from the first couple days.

(Dallas, me, Mary, Gina)

Gina comes all the way from Seattle and meets me there. She is a super fun shoppin partner and keeps me on track! I would be lost with out her. She comes prepared with snacks, laptop, her I-phone with GPS, earplugs and Tylenol PM for our good nights sleep :)

My buddy Mary housed us the first night & took us to one of my new favs Gratzi for dinner! 

She always knows the yummiest places and where the best desserts are. She's been known to drive 2 hrs just for dessert.

Our theme for this years gemshow was

"IT'S A GEMSHOW MIRACLE"

SO many miracles this year:

Avoiding the 2 hr traffic jam on the way from Pheonix to Tucson by hurrying off the off-ramp and taking the

frontage roads all the way there.

Getting SWEET parking spots

and if not the shuttle appearing out of no where

to take us where-ever our hearts desired!

finding many many treasures at the show

Our new "friend" we met at the silver place and his arranged wife with some wicked "B.O."

getting a million heavy bags plus DC's in our room while laughing hysterically and peeing our pants and having the lady at the desk glare at us

Our super comfy-cozy courtesy breakfast that consisted of 2 bagels/a pitcher of milk and a bin of

fruit loops and 8 people staring at it wondering who was going to get the bagels 

(so we turned around and headed to Mc-y D's)

our super sweet room with holes in the walls and the ugliest wall paper around but IT WAS CLEAN

and we had more $$ for gems so we didn't care

my awesome (not) driving skills taking us to some fun new parts of Tucson that I've always heard about 

but never been lost enough to find

and last but not least GINA finding her a TIARA that she has always wanted

that had the number 15 on it--- which is what her hubby Kelly rates her on a scale of 1-10

We topped off our shopping with some dinner at Blanco's and dessert at AJ's
sitting out in the barely cool air chatting by the fire. The perfect way to end the day!

For some reason this gem show was better than ever.

I'm calling it our gem-show miracle.

After a marathon day of shopping we met up with more gals and

dined at BLONCO,

mmmmm one of my favs!

I've loved catching up with friends, the sunshine, our rinky dink rental car,

our fancy hotel room (not - but hey think of all the more beads we were able to purchase by picking the cheap place),

seeing the old stomping ground, driving by our old house, having two trunk shows,

seeing the new and improved Walmart I'm missing out on (fancy, shmancy I tell ya)!

two more days to go

and then I get to see my little kiddos and

kyle...can't wait for the all the hugs and kisses!

SYTYCD

WOoo Hooo!

I was invited to sell some jewelry at a dance studio that was having a workshop on Saturday.

So I was able to meet a few of the instructors which just happened to be some of my favorite SYTYCD dancers.

Riley got to come along so she could meet them too.

Juli sold some of her yummy baked goods and hair bows.

I didn't sell much but it was fun to be there for a little of the action anyways.

Here is Riley and Natalie.

Natalie was one of our favorites that TOTALLY got robbed and didn't make the top 20.

She was a total sweet heart.

GEV,    oh we LOVED Gev!

He is SO SO tender, an awesome hip hop dancer.

He was goofing off a lot in the lobby, kicking a soccer ball into a light

and jumping over the couch.

Riley was trying to sneak a picture of him and he TOTALLY busted her

and started posing for us.

Brandon and Thayne

They were talking to each other and I just decided to be annoying and ask them for a

picture together.

You can tell that Thayne is just the nicest guys, always has a HUGE smile on his face.

He was friendly walking around talking to everyone.

Brandon, wasn't one of my favorites on the show until more towards the end.

He is an amazing dancer and to see him dance in person even made me more in awe of his talents.

I can't believe the way his body can move. It's crazy!!

It's a good thing that my very fav Neil wasn't there!

I'm sure I would have followed him around the whole day making him nervous.

He would have had to call security on me. :)

workin woman

I've been a workin' woman this week. Between trying to get my house cleaner, playing with baby, shuffling kids to and fro it's been hard to get anything made but there are a few newbies HERE!

I'm bummed my favorite digi-scrap freebie site ikeagoddess.blogspot.com is no longer going to post freebies. WAH! If anyone has any great sites to share please do!  She did post on her blog her list of go-to's but it's enormous I don't have time to sift through that. Even if you have a favorite site to purchase from please share.

ME the BUSY BEE!

So I've been
a little TOO busy lately
it must be time for the holiday season!
Let's recap - family pics, halloween and trying to
figure out what my kids can wear without having
to buy them each a $30 costume,
taking care of sick kids & hubby (luckily not a sick baby - yet),
trying to get ready for 2 trunk shows,
then there is always young womans and
having fun with my cute beehives and helping them get ready for YWIE that is next week,
oh but one exciting tidbit - i'm getting a computer today!!
YIPEE! It's a cheap $50 one used from Weber state college :)
but who cares! It will totally tide me over until I can get the laptop I want!
Hopefully it will work!
Here are some of my new goods! I've been racking my brain trying to come up with
less-expensive necklaces and also something with flowers! I love the outcome
