Like you would even notice that I'm off since I've been such a fabulous blogger
lately!! BUT, I am we are off to the big ol' country of Washington to
say goodbye to my sweet Grandma Gilbert who passes away a few
days ago.
Some of my favorite memories of her were:
in the early years playing in her big yard and with all the toys and blocks in her basement,
the fun exercise equipment she always had, I think it was something called the "jimmy" that like folded your whole body in it, anywho it was my favorite!!
her cookies and all the treats she would give us,
going to her house after school for fun visits,
in the later years, she was a real hoot with her stories about her old boy friends,
always being jealous that grandpa was flirting with other ladies,
telling us about her family and her heritage and looking at her photo albums with her,
her dark brown ever dyed hair that made her known to my kids as the "black grandma",
her asking me how many kids I have when I visit (she had dimensia and would not remember from visit to visit) and when I told her 3 she would tell me "THAT'S ALL I had 10 kids", She was so tender and made me laugh. I will miss her so much not being there for our visits to Othello!

Love these memories!!! Especially the one about her getting jealous when grandpa would flirt...he is a flirt! And one of my favorite...we were playing family feud and the topic was something you do at the end of a date and she said "go behind the barn to make out"! It was HILARIOUS!
