I know, I know again I find myself a month or two behind on my blog posts. So here goes
a quick catch up and then hopefully I can start keeping up again.
Our last days of summer included:
trying to keep up with our garden. It runnith over!
So I've been doing lots of baking zucchini bread and cookies.
I had Hayden take these pictures of Reece and I. I thought it was funny looking back and seeing how in each picture Reece and I have the exact same expression.
I'm pretty sure we are twins.
OLSEN FAMILY FUN TIME!
We attended our first Olsen family reunion in Logan, UT.
They have an auction every year to raise money for the next years auction.
We pretty much left with lots of junk and one cute item, but Mel and Dan paid the big bucks for
this awesome antique from their great grandpa's farm. It's a dairy cow ear tag.
I thought it was pretty awesome and there was a big bidding war on it.
Someone happened to find it in the old barn and they had it specially framed for the auction.
But my favorite thing was some relative in this t-shirt! Only at an Olsen reunion would this fly:
We've also been doing a little more boating, school shopping, and still working on our basement.
I've been painting, painting, painting and my right arm has about had it. I'm getting close to being finished maybe another week or two.
THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!!!!!
Riley now in 8th grade. WOW how time is flying by and my little kiddos are not so little anymore.
I can't believe what a beautiful girl Riley is growing up to be...inside and out!
Hayden is now in 5th grade and has an awesome teacher this year!!! FINALLY!
He is much happier this year and is trying hard to get really good grades so he can play tackle football next year. We opted out of all the fall sports this year, because spring and summer has just been too busy. We need to slow down a bit.
Reece is now in 1st grade! (WOOOOT - ALL DAY)
He isn't too sure about that all day factor. He thinks it's too long! I'm hoping he starts to like school better soon. He seems pretty miserable so far :(. I'm keeping my fingers crossed!!

In other news: BYU FOOTBALL has started and you know what that means:
Every Saturday morning we wake up to Kyle yelling: "IT'S GAME DAY"!!
Absolutely NO RED can be worn on game day and he really likes it when we wear blue or better yet a BYU shirt. The best part is he makes us his special 'Y' pancakes for breakfast.
So that's my catch up posting and hopefully I will do better now!

First I have to say I LOVE your hair long like that. You look beautiful!! Loved the catchup post, and of course I love the back to school dance. Wouldnt be an Olsen Back TO School post without it!
loving the catch up i was wondering when you were gunna hit it.. first you and your twin look like you baked up some yummers good wish you had mailed some my way
second i can only imagine the shopping that went on for back to school wish i could have been there watching you score all the while crew sitting in the stoller not making a peep

4th love the door shot... you know what that dose to me...
I love the Y pancakes for breakfast on game day! When I stop misplacing my anger at the U football team, I will have to make U pancakes. That's a great tradition, although I think Crew's pancake looks a little more like Mickey Mouse than a Y. Tell Kyle that if he can find a light up Y, I will gladly display it while Aaron is out of town!!!
Love the dance in the doorway shot, its my fave. It has been way to long since you posted and this was so great to see the catchup. I love the y pancakes, you have inspired me to try to make gameday special for Ry again. You and Crewbie Doobie are going to have so much bonding time now, im a little jelous of the little man:)
