Last night we had the funnest party for my Grandpa Gilbert.He will be turning 90 years old soon and it was great to get to celebrate
it with him.
(and wasn't and isn't he a handsome DEVIL!!)
Some of my favorite memories of my grandpa are:
His ginormous prize winning garden - he has always been a farmer and as he retired from that he turned his whole backyard into a garden and basically lives off of it most of the year.
The way he lights up when we go for a visit.
His sense of humor- he is always joking around with grandma-"getting her goat"- and it is the cutest to watch. He's always making grandma jealous. She thinks he's always on the prowl for another woman! HA
Having lots of fun gatherings at his house in the summer, with fun food and lots of baseball
games!!
Hearing all of his fun adventures and also some scary adventures when he was in the war, and his travels to Alaska without a cent to his name! I never get tired of hearing those stories.
My very very very favorite thing about Grandpa is what a great example he has been to me.
He is super strong in the church and has been a great husband, father, and grandfather.

What a cute little Grandpa!! Where does he live? In WA?
Yes he's lives in WA but he is here for a visit so we had our own Utah Birthday party so now I don't need to go to WA for his other party there.
